light coming in

under the door

closed my eyes

tried to shut out

all of that

& more

today i was leaving

my mind made up

started packing

the night before

unkind words

given received

should we try again

give it a go

once more on our

own killing floor

went to bed exhausted

flopped down

& now the light there

under the door

pulled myself together

feet on the floor

time to go try again
