twists & straights keeping a man alive

taut conscious reactive

‘cos death comes from any side

tractors trailers cyclists

cotton tops going out for groceries

doing just about 30 in a 60 zone

& these thoughts that come

the blondes i had back there a while

married women happy to meet up

spend a time doing

the easy casual sex thing

& what did i learn?

nothing much i guess

apart from keep away

from all that mess

to realise

these women were doing

what my absent mother did

thankfully i never recreated

that situation
