i’d made a booze run

buying wine in bulk

the local co operative

had a scale with a pump

pouring 1.50 per litre x 1kilo

for the table wine

bought it in 20litre boxes

couple of ‘em

plus the plastic bottles

for 50c per litre x 1/2kg

this being the stuff

to make mulled wine

put in the cooking pot

the mooch neighbour asked

got any wine?

claiming he’d forgot to buy

needing some for his meal

gave him a plastic bottle

s’all i got i lied smiling

asked him later it ok?

worse wine i ever drunk

he said but never

tried to mooch wine again

makes it my opinion

a good wine
