these

one day at a time

hours of

just holding on

waiting for better days

worm to turn

going out &

doing the do

to bring in money

this place to sleep

wake up do over

hoping for

an end to grind

fly like i do

in my sleep

wake to find

another day calling

i get up & go

because i know

this cannot be

all there is & surely

better days will find
