feeling not that old

yet feeling the hurt

taking steps like a toddler

getting out of the house

because i had to

then out on the street

some days

that was it

then down to the bridge

boomerang back

to try again

days later

then one clear

summer night

making it around

my small town

back to home

until that too

became ordinary

significant steps

in my
